Myofascial Release is of primary focus at this clinic to create health and resiliency to the fascial system. This hands-on treatment is combined with various movement therapies to offer a complete treatment program for the patient.
Spinal Stabilization Training Our approach to spinal stabilization teaches the subtleties of the awareness of movement to progressively train the muscles involved in segmental spinal control. The muscles involved in core stability ensure that the spine remains in a neutral position during functional movement. The goal of this training is to; create dynamic spinal stability, increase core spinal strength and endurance, allow painfree movement and function, and prevent future injury.
Pilates-Based Exercise is utilized to promote core spinal stability, extremity strength, reset the neuromuscular system, and develop functional movement patterns.
Yogic Stretching and Flexibility is instructed to augment the length and health changes to the connective tissue achieved by the myofascial release treatment. Breath and inner awareness is emphasized, as well as promoting relaxation and a daily healthy habit of stretching. Individual techniques are instructed as a home program to meet the patient’s therapeutic needs.
Weight Training and Cardiovascular Exercise is also a part of the therapeutic program that promotes fitness, and allows the patient to progressively return to an active lifestyle. The healthy environment and recreational diversity of Boulder allows each patient the availability to many types of exercise.
Nutritional Counseling is offered by the staff in Boulder for healthy diet, as well as the use of natural anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxants, and pain relievers. The Boulder MFR Treatment Center carries an exclusive line of natural products to allow the patient to progressively eliminate the need for pharmacological drugs. A local osteopathic physician is used as a consultant to aid in this transition.
